SF50 is to be part of university’s biohazard waste disposal programme

One of the latest models from our world-regarded Surefire® waste incinerator range is now all completed, packed, crated and is waiting in our workshop ready to be shipped to the Egerton University in Nairobi, Kenya, where it has been specified as the perfect solution to deal with their biohazard waste disposal problem.

The waste incineration plant heading for Africa is a SF50 that was recommended to the university authorities by our East Africa agents – Plenser Ltd – who are one our most progressive and successful partners anywhere in the world.  After speaking to the Human Anatomy Department at the university and analysing their needs and objectives, Plenser had no hesitation in recommending the SF50 as the ideal waste incinerator to effectively resolve the department’s biohazard waste disposal problem in what is the safest, most efficient, environmentally responsible and cost-effective manner.

The ruggedly engineered, horizontal cylindrical design of the incinerator ensures years of maintenance-free operation together with excellent combustion efficiency thanks to the strongest possible 1600°C refractory construction and high-efficiency silicate insulation.

Pressurised combustion air that penetrates the biohazard waste causes increased turbulence in the gas stream to promote the efficient destruction of emissions, which in turn produces acceptable exhaust levels.

The SF50 is designed for ultra-efficient waste incineration, including biohazard waste disposal, with a burn rate of 50kg/hr, while the simple manual loading process means that it can be safely used and supervised by unskilled operatives.

On its arrival in Nairobi Plenser will be taking complete responsibility for all the installation and commissioning of the unit prior to handing over the new biohazard waste disposal incinerator to the university’s Human Anatomy Department.
